Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning is often the largest mechanical package in a building, and the one occupants notice first when it goes wrong. A good HVAC contractor adds value well before the first duct goes up.
1. Design review and shop drawings
We start by checking the design against the actual building: loads, equipment sizes, duct and pipe routes, and clashes with structure, fire-fighting, plumbing and electrical. Coordinated shop drawings solve those problems on paper instead of on site.
2. Equipment selection and submittals
Chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, VRF systems, pumps and fans are selected to match the design and submitted with data sheets and certificates for consultant approval, balancing performance, energy efficiency and budget.
3. Installation
- Ductwork fabrication and installation with correct insulation and sealing
- Chilled water and refrigerant piping, with pressure testing
- Equipment setting, vibration isolation and connections
- Controls wiring and coordination with the electrical contractor
4. Testing, balancing and commissioning
Air and water flows are measured and balanced, controls are checked, and every system is run and documented before handover, with as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
